Mission to Tehran

The present book, is the chronology of the memoirs of General Robert Hizer, one of high ranking generals of the United State military who, in the last days of Pahlavi regime came to Tehran with a directive from Jimmy Carter to control and manage the events in Iran from close range. He had a mission to lay the groundwork for the survival and continuation of Pahlavi’s rule and if necessary, start a coups d'état by maintaining the integrity of the army and supporting Bakhtiar’s administration. Hizer’s mission, for different reasons whose explanation have come in the book, faced defeat and he left Tehran for the Unites States without getting any result.

The war of surprises and contrivances

After passing of several years from the 33 day war between Hezbollah and Israeli regime, the complex and stunning dimensions of this war are evaluable from different aspects. In this war, the Zionist regime, under the pretext of capture of two of its soldiers, started an all-out war against Lebanon. As a result of this war, the Zionist regime experienced the hardest defeat. This regime, which from the beginning of its fictitious existence had never been defeated, after 33 days of extensive invasion against Hezbollah’s positions and destruction of Lebanon’s infrastructures and killing of civilians, could not achieve its predetermined goals.

the pride and the fall(1974-79-)i

The present book is about the memoirs of Anthony Parsons, the Britain’s ambassador in Iran at the time of the victory of the Islamic Revolution which is allocated to the events of the important period of the contemporary history. Parsons who spent five years of his period of diplomatic activity in Iran, in this work, according to the familiar tradition, witnesses the resistance and opposition of England before the Islamic revolution and Iranian nation’s call for independence, so much so that he voices his apprehension and opposition about the collapse of the Shah and the occurrence of the Islamic revolution.

Ayatollah Al-Ozma Boroujerdi, in the position of ”leader of the Islamic Nation”, tried to think of reviving the weakened Islamic customs more than before. Islamic customs and the Shia clergy, after the Constitution Revolution and in particular during the despotic rule of Reza Khan, had been severely weakened and the seminaries, which till the coming of Ayatollah Boroujerdi to Qum were on their last legs, needed acute nursing and reviving. Also, lack of a good cadre of leadership, unpreparedness of people and lack of propitious situation, persuaded the Ayatollah to avoid any and every kind of practical action to confront the rule(establishment) of the time. In addition, his observation of expediency also caused him to stay relatively away from political issues and revolting against the Shah, expediencies such as avoiding the abuse of foreigners and preventing harm on the seminaries added to the determination of Ayatollah Boroujerdi from physically confronting the regime Despite all these, he was never away from political issues.

Leadership is that which in reality is the shade and sign of the finest truth of the world of creation, meaning the post of the Jurisdiction of the great, meaning the sanctimonious post of representativeness and the holy post of infallible leadership. Where is our Grand Deputy

On 10 February 1984(21 Bahman 1363 H.SH), embassy staff and some of the diplomats and heads of foreign delegations in Tehran, attended a meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei for expressing their congratulation to him on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. In this ceremony, Romanian diplomat, know as the Grand Diplomat, read his statement of congratulation. After hearing the congratulation of Romanian diplomat, Ayatollah Khamenei told Dr. Velayati and other deputies that Mr. Arab is our Grand Deputy in Foreign Ministry as well and from then on this name was registered for me.
